CITY OF SAN FERNANDO (P) – On March 1, 2026, Corporate Guarantee was at the Benigno S. Aquino Hall in Capitol Compound, Brgy. Sto. Nino here. Done yearly, Corporate Guarantee marks this day as the start of their month-long propagation of this national awareness campaign – Fire Prevention Month – being part of their long-time advocacy and embedded in their organizational culture.

Converging at the venue together with other commercial institutions and advocate groups were the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) headed by FSSupt. Jose Raymund Manimbo, the Provincial Fire Marshall – the main proponents of this campaign. It was an early morning assembly as early as 5a.m. The throng of people representing the various sectors arrived one at a time and began adorning their respective vehicles with streamers and balloons as they prepare for the motorcade within the City of San Fernando. The motorcade traversed major thoroughfares blowing sirens and horns to effectively make citizens aware of the start of this highly important campaign.

Generally, citizens are aware of the kind of devastation that fire and conflagration can bring to our society, and spreading awareness to prevent such mishap is very important. In 2023 and 2024 alone, the cost of damages to residential and commercial property due to fire reaches an approximate P13 to P14 Billion pesos. While the origin of incidence varies, the economic impact remains consistently high, often driven by electrical faults and unattended open flames mostly in rural residential areas. There are over 18, 000 reported incidents in the latter year. The motorcade ended once they reached the original starting point, where a modest breakfast meal was shared among all participants.

Representing Corporate Guarantee in this meaningful activity was Ms. Kathleen Eusebio and Mr. Jonathan Lledo.
