CGIC Poised To Move Up To New ISO Level

City of San Fernando —Corporate Guarantee and Insurance Company (CGIC) has achieved another feat as an outstanding non-life insurance company in the Philippines.
It is the first non-life insurance firm in the country to be recommended by SGS Philippines for transition to the new ISO 9001:2015 version.

This milestone developed after CGIC passed anew its IS0 Recertification concluded last March 27-28, 2017 audit.

The ISO Certification is about high international standards on Quality Management Systems and Processes.

The Recertification Audit was conducted to determine CGIC’s conformity with ISO 9001:2015 Audit Criteria and its ability to ensure that applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are met. The excercise was also conducted to validate the company’s effectiveness to ensure total customer satisfaction as well as to identify areas for potential improvement, as applicable.

This new achievement comes after CGIC complied last December with the minimum capital requirement of P550 million imposed by the Insurance Commission for all insurance companies.

At the time, CGIC was one of only 13 non-life insurance firms to have complied with the new capital requirement level.

Founded in 1997, CGIC belongs to the top non-life insurance companies in the Philippines. It is the only one in Luzon headquartered outside Metro Manila and one of only six non-life insurance companies in the country that are ISO-certified.

CGIC is also the only non-life insurance company in Southeast Asia to be awarded with the People Management Excellence Standard Recognition and Certification by Investors in People (IiP).

CGC is a member of the LausGroup, considered as the biggest multi-brand dealership network in the country today.
